There are three conventional ways of current measurement: first, it is measured with a shunt (resistive); second, it is measured with a Hall current sensor; third, it is measured with a high-precision fluxgate current sensor. Now, let's compare the respective characteristics of these several current measurement methods.
1. Shunt (resistive) measurement can also be divided into three types: common current shunt, standard current shunt, and high-precision current shunt.
Measure current with a common current shunt:
• Directly connected to the loop, consumes current and generates a large amount of heat;
• Accuracy: 0.5%, 1%;
• Resistance range: 0.1 milliohms~100 milliohms;
• Application range: low-accuracy measurement equipment, such as DC meters, etc.;
• Can be replaced by HANGZHI IIT series current sensors.
Measure current with a standard current shunt:
• For precise measurement of AC and DC current;
• Low phase shift, low temperature drift, suitable for calibration equipment;
• The current range is 1mA~100A, which is widely used;
• Can be replaced by HANGZHI AIT series current sensors.
High-precision current shunts measure current:
• Direct access type, consumes current and power consumption, and generates a large amount of heat;
• Accuracy: 0.1%;
• Resistance range: 0.1 milliohms~100 milliohms;
• Application areas: instruments and test equipment that have certain requirements on the accuracy level;
• Can be replaced by HANGZHI IIT series current sensors.
2. Hall current sensor measurement
Open loop Hall current sensor:
• Accuracy: 1.0% under rated range;
• Temperature characteristics: ≤150PPM/℃ (0~50℃);
• The initial power-on zero point is not fixed and is easily affected by external interference;
Closed Loop Hall Current Sensor:
• Accuracy: 0.2% under rated range;
• Temperature characteristics: ≤150PPM/℃ (0~50℃);
• The initial power-on zero point is not fixed and is easily affected by external interference;
• Can be replaced by HANGZHI IIT series current sensors.
3. HANGZHI high-precision current sensor measurement:
• Accuracy: above 0.01%;
• High linearity, extremely low temperature drift, wide range;
• It can directly replace the IT series sensors of Lime 60A~1000A;
• It can realize high-precision measurement of 5000A AC and DC current;
• Short delivery cycle, which can meet the personalized customization needs of customers;
• The best cost-effective choice for customers.
