A current sensor is a device that can sense the measured current, and can transform the sensed information into electrical signals that meet certain standards or other required forms of output according to certain rules to meet the needs of requirements for the transmission, processing, storage, display, recording and control of information. To use a current sensor for current measurement, the most important thing is to select the most suitable current sensor according to the object to be measured.
Before selecting a current sensor, we need to determine the basic technical parameters for specific applications, including:
1. The measured current value
2. The size of the tested cable (select the perforation size of the product according to the size, and try to fill it with perforations)
3. Output signal (analog signal, digital signal, voltage signal or current signal)
4. Accuracy level requirements (high precision generally ranging from 0.05% to 10ppm)
5. Bandwidth size (high frequency of 500kHz)
6. Linearity: Linearity determines the degree to which the sensor output signal (secondary current IS) is proportional to the input signal (primary current IP) within the measurement range.
7. Power supply (usually DC ±12-15V)
8. Installation method (see the specific application scenario requirements)
9. Whether the use environment has high and low temperature, altitude, strong earthquake, humidity, etc.
The current sensor should be determined according to the technical requirements, so that we can choose the most suitable and cost-effective one.
