The charge-discharge tester is the most commonly used test equipment for power batteries, and is mainly used in the battery formation and capacity process. In order to improve the electrochemical performance of the battery such as cycle life, stability, self-discharge, safety, etc., the battery formation process has higher requirements on the error of the battery's charge-discharge current and voltage measurement. In order to ensure that the overall accuracy of the charge-discharge tester meets the high standards required, it is essential to use current sensors with higher accuracy and higher performance.
In September 2021, AVL Corporation opened its new Battery Innovation Center focused on developing, implementing and validating new high-efficiency battery production test processes that enable a new level of product quality and process reliability. In order to improve the cycle life, stability, safety, reliability, etc. of the battery, the accuracy and reliability of the test and measurement must be maintained. Therefore, AVL selects the sensor of the charge and discharge tester with high precision and good stability (low temperature drift and low zero drift) is a necessary requirement. According to the technical requirements from AVL, HANGZHI recommended the AIT series high-precision current sensors, which have a high precision of 10ppm, a temperature effect of 0.1PPM/degree, and the characteristics of low temperature drift and zero drift. In the project application, the accuracy, reliability and safety of battery testing equipment were greatly improved. AVL was very satisfied with the product solutions provided by HANGZHI.
